Commission Members

The membership of the IPCC commission members is determined based on the provisions under Section 6 of the Independent Police Conduct Commission Act 2022 [Act 839], which states:

• The Yang di-Pertuan Agong shall, on the advice of the Prime Minister, appoint not more than seven members of theCommission, one of whom shall be appointed as the Chairman and another as the Deputy Chairman.
• The members of the Commission shall be subject to such terms as may be specified in the instrument of appointment.
• The members of the Commission shall have knowledge, skill and experience, or shown capacity and professionalism, in matters relating to law, administration, investigation, finance or any other matters related to the functions of the Commission

Section 7 of the same act stipulates that each member is appointed for a term not exceeding three years and is eligible for reappointment.

On January 15, 2024, five (5) members of the Commission received the consent of His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. The following are the Commission members appointed on that date who continue to perform their roles today:
